Your passport must be less than 10 years old on your departure date for EU/Schengen trips.
How long must it be valid after my EU trip?
At least 3 calendar months after your return date.
Do I need 6 months on my passport?
Not always. Many non-EU countries expect 6 months’ validity, but EU/Schengen trips usually follow different rules.
