UK Passport Checker publishes practical guidance for British passport holders. Our aim is to make official passport validity rules easier to understand without replacing official advice.

Official sources first

We base country and renewal guidance on GOV.UK, official destination sources, and official EU travel information where relevant.

Plain-English explanations

We explain rules with examples, checklists, and common mistakes so travellers can make better decisions before booking or travelling.

Clear limitations

We do not provide legal, immigration, or official travel advice. Users should always check official guidance and their travel provider.

Regular updates

We review core pages when official rules change and periodically refresh important guides, especially passport fees, Schengen rules, ETIAS, and EES.

How updates are handled

When we update a page, we check the relevant official source and adjust the wording, examples, and metadata where needed. For major changes, we update the page date in the sitemap so search engines can re-crawl the revised guidance.

Advertising and commercial content

Advertising or affiliate relationships do not control our passport validity guidance. If we add paid links or sponsored recommendations in future, they should be labelled clearly and kept separate from the core passport rule explanations.

Corrections

If you believe a page is inaccurate or unclear, please contact us with the page URL and the official source you are comparing it with. We will review corrections as soon as practical.
